The Boards of the NWO Council for Physical Sciences (EW) and the Technology Foundation STW are pleased to announce SIREN 2008, the Scientific ICT Research Event Netherlands. SIREN is the national meeting for curiosity driven research on ICT for all ICT researchers in the Netherlands, for experienced as well as novice researchers.

Call for posters
SIREN provides the opportunity for all ICT researchers in presenting their work at a poster session during the (extended) lunchbreak. All of the posters will also be collected in a poster book, that will be handed out at SIREN. The deadline for submitting a poster was September 1, 2008.

I/O Award
At SIREN the winner of the I/O Award 2008 will be announced. This is the award for the best result with respect to outreach from the ICT research community to a broader audience.
