The Boards of the Technology Foundation STW and the NWO Council for Physical Sciences (EW) are pleased to announce SIREN 2006, the Scientific ICT Research Event Netherlands. SIREN succeeds last year's successful SIREN 2005 as the national meeting for curiosity driven computer science and ICT research.
All scientists working on computer science or ICT projects are cordially invited to participate in the meeting, to join the discussions and to present a poster on their research.
First and foremost SIREN is the national meeting for curiosity driven research on computer science and ICT. SIREN especially presents results from projects supported by EW or STW and provides an opportunity to *all* ICT researchers in the Netherlands, for experienced senior researchers as well as starting juniors, in presenting their work. SIREN 2006 also serves as a platform for meetings for the research programmes GLANCE / VIEW and CATCH. SIREN 2006 concludes with announcing the winner of the I/O Award 2006. This is the award for the best result with respect to outreach from the ICT research community to a broader audience.
